Newsy is coming to cable TV through the purchase of existing contracts currently held by RLTV.
What is Newsy? Newsy is a national news network delivered primarily over the internet (until now).
Below is the sizzle reel for “The Why” which is a nightly news show on Newsy.
Newsy will find additional distribution through cable TV similar to what Cheddar announced with Fusion.
Total households and hours/day of content on cable:
1) Newsy — 26m HH and 24 hours/day of content
2) Cheddar — 60m HH and 2 hours/day of content
The estimated cost of the deal is $0.93 per subscriber.
