The largest traditional pay-TV providers saw their subscriber base drop by 4% in 2018.
YoY change in traditional pay-TV subscribers:
1) Dish Satellite — ↓ 1.1M (↓ 10%)
2) DirecTV Satellite — ↓ 1.2M (↓ 6%)
3) Verizon Fios — ↓ 168K (↓ 4%)
4) Charter — ↓ 296K (↓ 2%)
5) Comcast Xfinity — ↓ 344K (↓ 2%)
6) AT&T U-verse — ↓ 50K (↓ 1%)
7) Total — ↓ 3.2M (↓ 4%)
YoY change in streaming pay-TV subscribers:
1) DirecTV Now — ↑ 436K (↑ 38%)
2) Sling TV — ↑ 205K ( ↑ 9%)
3) Total — ↑ 600K ( ↑ 19%)
