Why Can’t Apple Figure Out Television?
Apple has run into a variety of issues with its TV product including:
1) Film and TV executives unwillingness to negotiate for content rights
2) Cable companies dragging their feet until their own streaming TV products arrived
Part of this can be attributed to Apple’s success with iTunes. The film/TV executives witnessed the impact Apple had on the music industry and fought to avoid the same fate.
